I waited impatiently, tapping my foot and checking my watch.
It was one minute until 10AM, right when Wookie was supposed to come.
I had invited her on a walk by the park near her house.
We used to always play here when we were small.
I looked around at all the small children playing, parents watching their kids with amusement, and a few couples walking hand in hand.
I looked down at my hand.
I never really held hands with Wookie.
I thought about how people say how their hands fit perfectly together as if they were made for each other.
I wonder if it would be the same for me and Wookie.
"Oppa!" I heard a small voice call, snapping me away from my thoughts.
I looked up and saw Wookie.
She was beautiful.
She wore a simple, pretty white blouse.
Her shorts were blue and modest, not too short, but not long either.
She also wore white sandals that matched her blouse.
Her light brown hair was wavy and fell perfectly on her shoulders, not a hair out of place.
"Hi oppa!" she said with a bright smile.
I smiled back at her.
"It's so beautiful today!" she said happily.
She looked just like a cute, little kid.
"Do you just want to walk around for a while?" I asked.
I walked next to her, chatting about anything that came to mind.
She listened intently when I was speaking and spoke her own thoughts back.
Her giggle was adorable and sweet.
Her eyes turned into cresents as she showed her perfect white teeth.
She seemed to glow with happiness and beauty.
Seeing as she didn't hold my hand, I casually put them both in my pockets and continued walking.
I kept noticing some couples walking hand in hand.
Why couldn't Wookie and I be like that?
Suddenly, she grabbed my arm and pulled close to me.
I looked down at her in surprise.
She looked up at me with a small smile.
I was about to say something, when she started running.
She half dragged and half lead me to the swings
She started jumping like a little kid and begged me to push her on the swings.
I laughed and agreed to her wish.
Her eyes brightened and she jumped onto the swing.
Gently, I pushed her on the swing.
She closed her eyes and swung her legs with the swing.
She looked so beautiful and peaceful, just sitting there.
I wanted to take a picture of her, so I did.
Quickly, I took out my camera and snapped a picture.
Ryeowook's eyes immediately snapped open and she saw me with my phone.
"Oppa!" she exclaimed.
"What are you doing?"
"Nothing," I said.
By this time, she had stopped swinging and started pouting.
"I just took a picture, see?" I said, showing her the picture.
"Why does oppa want a picture of me?"
I didn't know how to respond.
Should I just confess to her and tell her my true feelings?
Before I could decide, I heard the familiar ring of the ice cream truck.
"ICE CREAM~!" Ryeowook screamed.
"Kyu oppa, can we get ice cream? Please?" she said with the cutest puppy eyes.
I laughed and nodded.
She squealed and once again dragged me across the park, this time towards the ice cream truck.
I got chocolate chip, while she got strawberry.
"Want a bite?" I asked her.
She nodded and took a small bite out of my ice cream.
Then she offered me her ice cream.
I was about to take a bite, when she lifted up her cone and got some ice cream on my nose.
"Hey!" I exclaimed.
I got some ice cream with my finger and put some on her face too.
"There! Now you have ice cream on your face too!" I laughed.
"Oppa~ that's not fair. Wipe it off~" she whined.
"Haha, alright," I said and gently wiped it off with a napkin.
My face was so close to hers, I could feel her breath.
I looked down from her flawless forehead and down to her perfect lips.
I noticed a tiny bit of ice cream still on her lips.
I leaned in a bit closer, wondering if I should make a move.
Deciding otherwise, I wiped that off with the napkin too.
"There, all clean," I said.
Then she laughed again.
"What?" I asked.
"Silly oppa, you still have ice cream on your face!"
"Oh," I said.
Then she stood on tip-toes and dabbed the ice cream off with a napkin.
She smiled at me and I smiled back.
We continued walking around, eating our ice cream, and talking.
Finally, it was getting late and Ryeowook had to go.
"Thanks oppa!" she said.
"No problem," I said, smiling.
Suddenly, she jumped up and kissed me on the cheek.
I stood still in shock.
"Gotta go oppa. Bye!" she said and ran away as fast as she could.
I put my fingers gently on my cheek and felt that they were warm.
The feeling of Wookie's lips still lingered there.
